Challenge: Religion (Advanced Editing V) Collection:* 2008 - CHALLENGES Camera: Canon EOS-400D Rebel XTi Lens: Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II for Canon Location: in my lounge room Date: May 29, 2007 Aperture: f4 ISO: 100 Shutter: 15 secs Galleries: Emotive, Self Portrait Date Uploaded: May 29, 2007 Add photograph to your favorites Add photographer to your favorites	processed in raw ... in photoshop CS2 .. used spot healing brush to get rid of a couple of picture hooks on the wall ... did kodak airbrush ... did another kodak airbrush and erased areas i didnt want affected .. xero soft vignette and erased areas i didnt want affected .... DQ DQ DQ!! levels and hue/sat adjustment layers ... curves adjustment layer where i made it heaps lighter and erased the affect in the bodies .. DQ DQ DQ !! did a reduce noise and erased in body lying down ... increased canvas size width and moved image to the right ... DQ DQ DQ !!! sharpened and erased in body rising up ... border, convert to profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and saved for web .. after dq and voting has finished .. i wanted to show my belief that our soul is on a journey .. the just about feotal and often painful time we can experience here and the yearning for the spiritual that we all feel ... it was my first long exposure and i didnt have much time ... if i did this again i'd try and make it more real, with a relevant background and more of a message in the posture .. i didnt think i'd even use this image of myself but the one's i took of my daughter all had something wrong with them and i wasnt able to take more photographs ... i learnt a valuable lesson getting this dq ... when i'm heading for a blue ribbon one of these days .. lol lol lol .. i wont get a dq for increasing the canvas size and totally obliterating the background !!! .. this was definitely not heading for a blue ribbon !!

Boo booo DQ'd - they're out to get ya, I tell ya. j/k lol. Well at least you have given the rest of us a step by step DQ tutorial now so we know what to do when we feel like we need a little DQ in our system. :)

I remember what you wrote to me about your beliefs and how on earth would you visually be able to express it. This is an excellent spiritual representation in my opinion. The softness and the light background certainly represent that our true souls have no real or tangible form. Just excellent!
