Find another one of these for the "Burst of Color" challenge and you could end up on the front page when all is said and done. ;)
The central part of that flower jumps out so much it almost seems unreal. The radial action of the background black/white/blue spurs (not sure what else to call them) creates a sense of motion that is quite mesmerizing.

| Wonderful macro! Love the perspective from the top - the blue lines radiating outward add so much interest. I think that the tight crop also works very well. |

| Excellent macro shot. The lighting is perfect for this subject, and the colors are perfectly saturated. Nice work. The DOF is a bit shallow, but not enough to make a huge difference. |
