 I don't think this picture will score highly in this contest but there are several technical and artistic factors I liked about it that are different then what I have submitted in the past so I thought I would add it to my resume. I took this shot about 20 yards from the subjects using my 70-200 lens. I was intentionally focusing on the legs of the horses as they ran past. I was pleased to see that I was able to get a pretty good stop action at 1/3000 of a second shutter speed thanks to the bright sunshine and that it did not blow out the whites in the horses legs. From a compositional standpoint I liked the criss cross pattern of the horses legs and the fact that it almost looks like four different horses in the foreground. Thanks for looking
