I am glad i came back to these - this is a very moving and well executed shot - the rolling hills the soft light from the right, the details in the pines and the title - great work

You could easily make a painting from this. I recall a Group of Seven painting that is similar.

The simplicity appeals to me very much, but I think the light really makes this shot. Very subtle back lighting adds a beautiful highlight and no detail is lost in the shadows. Very attractive shot!

Even before I saw the title this reminded me of my grandpa. I miss him too. Very emotive photo.
