 The lighting was horrid, so I played around and I like what I came up with. Two overlays of concrete backgrounds to add some oomph, instead of just black. It isn't perfect, but......

great shot! lotsa textures in it and great play on lights and darks. just wish the feather was tab brighter on the left and the white part a bit whiter. that way your eye would be drawn to the feather, and not the hands.

good work, great edit. subtle back texture overlay is seamless, not really detectable w/o your notation. beautiful light - hands holding a precious gift.

Wonderful skin textures, in this one Judy, excellent tonal range, and its the wonderful capture of the light, that makes this one so magical.
A perfect image here in black and white.....

Oh yes it is perfect! It reminds me of a Jutilda version of Philup's worth -- and that's a compliment! I love that real life texture in the hands -- it looks great with that soft feather and the concrete background.
