I admire the real 'goodman' so VERY much.

This photo presented itself to me yesterday and although I realise it's not the sort of polished image that does well in competitions, I had to enter it to share the 'spirit' of this moment.

When pavement-works began to prove a problem for this elderly lady, this young man just 'appeared' and took time from his day to escourt her slowly, but caringly around the barriers, onto the road and to where she needed to be.

It was beautiful to witness and worthy, I think of naming it in the spirit of the lady who I believe is a master of 'people' photography.

I hope my 'goodman' is appreciated - at least for the moment of chivalry it captured.

Without the overall view of the scene, this would not be as powerful. Some days I am just happy to have a camera handy, and I see that this was one of those days for you. Thanks for sharing a very human to human moment.

This is a terrific, heart-warming shot, the kind of thing that gives you some hope about people. Out of context, I can see where voters didn't score it highly, but that's okay. The story plus the photo are so much stronger than either by themselves.

Only just caught up with this Lisa...I love this picture as a street candid which captures a moment that makes you think 'well the world isnt all bad'. Hey and guess what, I like the leaf shadows!

Now get yourself back to the B&W challenge, you've got a ton of catching up to lol!!

What a great find. Chivalry is not dead - hurray! I also love the angled lighting on the right - adds some more magic to the pic.

This is a perfect capture of the username you chose. I now wish I had voted in the username challenge. This so deserved a higher score.
