Great mood to this shot. Shots that invoke some sort of emotion in the viewer are my favorite kind and you portrayed the feeling of "quiet observation" beautifully. I love the contrast of the window (works well in b&w) and the light play on the wall behind you. Nice work! |

Creative lighting; excellent exposure, in my opinion. |

B&W treatment fits this perfectly. I love the model's expression and pose. The only thing I would change is perhaps not have the chair, candle, or "S" hook. |

very nice. there's a peacefulness about this photo. I think it needs some more focus or sharpening, plus maybe a touch more contrast. |

There are a lot of shots in this challenge making use of this title. This one does a better job than most of capturing the particular theme - so well done on that level. I would say, however, that the girl's pose does look slightly unnatural. Good lighting. |

Great light and nice natural pose - One thing i find a little too distracting is the snake like item out of the book (bookmark?) |

I've noticed several other users have used this username, but this is my favorite of them (at least so far). Fits the theme/name very well. |

Reading allowed a shy, quiet girl escape from a normal life to a dreamlike world of faraway adventures. One day you could be in Russia, the next day in London, and the next day in Oklahoma. Never stop reading or dreaming. Beautiful photograph. |

I think this will be under-rated. I would have moved the chair to be less aligned with the window and removed the candle thingy to create a more balanced composition but the lighting is excellent and well balanced tone-wise. 7 |
