Habes - you took a wonderful photo. I thought you should have placed higher. Rob

This is one I meant to comment on and missed somehow. TERRIFIC portrait. This could be an album cover. Great job. No doubt the placement/score would have been higher if the challenge were "Portraits". I know there were people who may have questioned the candidness of the photo. Good work anyway.

i like how you can see the sweat on his neck.too bad about the shadow from mic on his chin,,and also would have been nice for him to be singing,,mouth more open or something. Perhaps he's humming right now-what do I know?!?

Good bw. I like the angle here, maybe if the subject was a little to the left, it would feel more complete to me, but I suspect that is only a personal thing. karmat

this shot is fabulous. i know how hard band photography is, but you have it down! if i knew this person i would definitely have this framed on my wall---or at least give him a copy! the lighting is wonderful and i really like the angle. 10--amitchell

Very good capture of the singer's expression. The black and white is rich and the lighting is very effective (especially the backlighting on the hair). I especially love the little glisten of sweat on the singer's neck. It's an image full of sincerity and depth.

This is a very nice black and white shot. The closest thing to a nit is the glare on the his thoat, but everything else is wonderful. Great contrast. 9 Swash

mood captured - about to perform? forgot the words?
sincerity of expressions - not immediately interesting

I like this one quite well. Good detail, etc. My only criticism (which I'm not docking you for) is that I would be a little hesitant to consider a public performance a "candid" situation. But that's a bit nit-picky in this case.

great B&W simple but powerful composition

I like the light in the hair and the composition is good. Well done.

I like this a lot. I like how you've captured the sweat on his face and although some may disagree, I even like the shadow of the mike against his face. My only critique is the cropping. I think that it is too tight on top. I think that the b&w was a good choice on this as well. Good job! -KrazyKat

Great job filling the frame with your subject.

Good shot, it really gives the feeling of being there, up close. It's just a shame he's not acutally singing in the shot!
