This was shot in the absolutely freezing North Sea - I set up the shot, and my stepdad ended up pressing the shutter button while I ran in, stood still for about 4 mins spinning fire, then ran out again and jumped around trying to warm up...
Editing: crop, levels, curves, hue/sat, brightness/constrast, selective colour, usm. A bit of burning to the sea randomly at a low opacity to make it look a bit more dramatic. The light in the picture was shifted slightly by creating a new layer, painting on it in black and white, applying extreme Gaussian blur and setting the blend mode to soft light. Minor bits of blurring and cloning to get rid of slight colour imperfections. And I believe that's about it. Resized and added border.
I hope jumping into the North Sea was worth it!
