Had to read a couple tutorials on how to do this in Photoshop.
Then finally call a graphic design friend for help.

Happy with the final outcome though.
It probably won't score well, but I'm learning. Can't be the best at everything! But I'm trying and that's what matters.

This was my first idea for the challenge. I tried to do a self portrait but it never turned out well, so I finally used my brother's girlfriend. She worked out well!!!

not very well executed

Hate is a strong word, and I think your message would have been even stronger if just the word HATE had been in colour.

I don't like how the face is underexposed and the hand overexposed and in my opinion the words should have been hand-written. The idea is good though.

I'm not sure I 'get' this photo. Her expression and pose do not signify 'hate' or even mild anger to me. Rather, she looks bored. The lighting is quite harsh, and the background somewhat intrusive. A diffuser between the girl and the sun would soften the light, and a change in background (or using a shallower depth of field) would help with the background.

but not a very strong pic

That should have been said with her look.

I can see the concept you were aiming for however the technical aspects of the image lets it down. The sun so bright and then creating shadows really lets the image down, also lacks strength in contrast.
