Greetings from the Critique Club
Oh, I'm so pleased this did well in this low scoring Challenge. I remember this image well from the Challenge and voted it high.
Beautifully composed and an unforced cheerfulness from your little girl model. Focus is spot on and the flowers are nicely placed.
What's not to like? It's a good image and one you can be proud of.
I wish you continued success in your DPC experience.

| hehe, what a cute shot. when ever i see a shot like this, someone laying down (b/w) with a bouqet of flowers (colored), 100% of the time, its a wedding shot! you totally surprised me by having a little girl in this pose! I love her little half smile, a real keeper. good job. |

| I love the portrait! Not so fond of the desat, though I do realize that was the challenge. I'd like to see this either in color or black and white. Beautifully lit, well composed, very nice work. |

Beautiful little girl. I'm having trouble with this one because I really think the shot would be better with NO color (which of course would make it DNMC). The colorful flowers keep pulling me away from her whimsical expression, which I think should be the focal point.
You also have a little problem with color shadowing the area around the flowers - I presume from the way you selected that area. You may get dinged overall for that. But don't let it bother you, this is a great photo (exceptions noted) and you should be pleased with it. |
