I think whats strong is the fact that in the horizontal datum, the repetition of the police creates a story, a message, while vanishing of in the distant is a repetitive pattern of the bridge just like the staunch form of the police, which matches the composition of the foreground. Nice shot. |

I liked this shot. Here desat actually tells a message, with blue being the universally accepted color of the police, and thus the law. I scored this an 8 because of I appreciate the effort to have a meaningful image. Unfortunately, what probably brought it down is that compositionally it does not have much going on, with not only the cops but also everybody else having their backs to the camera. |

Thanks!
I took this shot while having a rest after struggling between the photographers. I also had to change the lens, so I decided to go in a safer place. While waiting for the parade to come down by this road, I saw this unusual view and I took some pictures behind the cops.

This is kinda neat. Why were you behind them and what was going on? |

Very good - the composition and vibrant contrasts are great!
One thing... just something silly that keeps catching my eye as I look at this shot, is that sign in the top left-hand corner. You know how when you put your mouse over the "challenges" button on DPC? and the little box scrolls down? That's what I keep thinking it is. :) It's pretty silly though, and the image is still awesome! ;) |
