A cat crossing a road. For a cat that means either death or survival. They risk their lives everytime they do so, without even knowing it.

I think this is a great idea for the challenge. I think the photo itself is a bit more on the snapshot side... the flash is the only thing I find bad about the shot. I usually don't use a flash, because it causes the picture to be a bit washed out. If you would've got a bit closer to the kitty, it may have helped.

Like I said, the concept is great. Just try to work on the flash :)

One of the best photographic rules I've learned is that, every time you're tempted to use the camera's built-in flash, you have to pinch youself. Pretty soon, you stop being tempted. Nothing screams 'snapshot' so loudly as the combination of overexposed highlights and background falloff produced by these (damned) things. Natural light is always the best but in the absence of natural light any other light source is better than the built in flash. I also do not know if this photo really meets the challenge.
