 I saw this bike when I was walking around the French Quarter. About an hour later it started raining and this shot popped in my head. I made my way back ducking in and out of doorways trying to keep my camera dry. It cam out pretty much like I wanted. Not sure how well it will do but I love it.

This is lovely.
I do not think you wife is better photographer. You have better eye for composition. she might be better at scoring at DPC, but good photographer is not about scoring high at dpc, I could score high with apples and completely creativity-less photograph. Its all about composition and picking things that others could not spot.
No doubt you are better.

Nicely composed. Maybe a slight CCW rotation would have helped IMO, but great choice of subject and shot non the less.
