 Some of my friends, hanging out after the restaurant kicked us out so it could close. I took a few steps back and took a picture. Our little group has been practically adopted by the elderly Taiwanese couple who run it.

Interesting notes:
Jeni is not crazy, just very animated. Though it is her box of porn on the Mini's hood. The takeout container is mine - awesome cold sesame peanut noodles. Monica, a/k/a lil_mo, is second from the left.

Obviously, I did a whole lot to this. There was tone mapping, and then a bunch of shadow/highlight work. Some levels. A soft light layer. Neat Image and lots of despeckle. Then it was draganized, with the fill pulled back to about 25%. Masked off the Mini in the foreground and darkened it since it had a lot of glare. Ultimately it was resized and aggressively sharpened via Smart Sharpen.

A great street shot, I like how dark it is, in most cases that really adds to the mood of the photo. Nice job.

Rebecca, this is AWESOME!!! In the great composition and moment you captured, in the excellent processing. . .but mostly. . .in getting to feel like part of the moment ourselves. It is so candid and so real. I'm so glad you shared the details. It makes it even more special.

This is just perfect street photography!
