 I was really wanting to go for a Hallmark type feel. I love the little kid shots, and have always bought my wife the love cards with B/W children. I think they display sure purity, and innocense. Their names are LeiLa and Coen, both are 2 years old. My Mother runs a Childcare and I asked to use them both. Took about 30 shots, because I could only give them so much candy for sitting still. Thought this was one of the best. It actually was a candid shot, as I told Leila to say thank you, so she leaned in to give him a kiss. Couldn't get any luckier. Hope everyone likes.

Shot in Raw,
Sharpened and Brightened by +0.17
In PS:
USM, Used Channel Mixer to convert to B/W.
Layer masked to add color to flowers.
Flattened image, Brightness & Contrast
Crop, Add border, Resize, Sharpen and Save for Web.

The selective desat works very well here. Nothing like a *young* couple with some roses to bring the sentimental feelings to the forefront. You've captured a beautiful innocent moment. Well done.

Beautiful. Love the concept, fits very well with the challenge, does not seem to be gratuitous desaturation, and the children are just perfect.
