I see this as a photojournalism image more than a candid image. To me, when a person is doing something where he/she knows that spectators are watching, the idea of "candid" goes away. 4 sjgleah

probably would have been stronger with the kicker fully in the frame.

Good action shot, though too bad that the soccer ball is hard to see. A second later and the ball's background would have been the sky. Depth of field also makes this an interesting shot.

perhaps focussing more on the player instead of having the linesman there would help. nice capture though!
