Had fun doing this one. Picked up the overalls and hat at an Osh Kosh outlet store for about $15. Took Laine and the hobo stick down to the tracks. Don't worry, abut fifteen yards behind us is one of those big clangers that goes off when the train comes to warn cars. One had just passed and I felt pretty safe letting her walk around a bit. I'd still take a glance behind me fairly often though... ;)

PP includes a shifting of cyans to blues, a burn around the edges, adding image grain (with a gaussian blur) to give the "rustic feel" and just ever so slightly warming the grayscale (color balance +5,0,-5).

What a great idea! I think the only thing that could've made this any better were if the hobo sack were just in color. But who knows? Maybe not! This is really a fun image!

not a fan of the grain here. very cute idea though. for me, the reason i don't like the grain is that it looks more like an underexposed shot being brought out, vs film grain. ps i give this a 7

The concept of this is wonderful, and I think the desat really works well here. What bothers me, though, is that the background is so very grainy, while she is not. It throws the pic off for me.
