DPL named themselves after a psychological self-help book designed to help codependent people ease out of hurtful relationships. They were very successful until the bass player actually read the book and realized what complete jerks his bandmates were. 8 |

I like the image a lot - the way so much of it is dark except for the hand really pulls focus to the hand and gun and yet there's still detail in the jacket and smoke too. The text positioning works though I think the band name would be better un-angled, myself. |

Nice work, maybe some grain and b/w would have worked better? I like how the eye is drawn to the hand though with it being the lightest part of the pic. |

Good light, good detail, and I like the text askew. |

I love the text.. something seems a tiiiiny bit off about the picture. I think maybe the colors - probably the brown seems out of place with the blacks and blueish colors. Still, a fantastic entry! |

I'd give you a 10 if the model's finger wasn't on the trigger...
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.
Rule 2: Never point your firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
Rule 3: Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire
Rule 4. Keep your firearm on safe until you intend to fire.
Safety lecture aside, I like mystery involved here. Good color choice on the pants. I think blue jeans would have been predictable, and the more Earthy tones lend themselves well to the overall image.
The fog...dry ice? |

Very effective use of crop and lighting. I can easily visualize this as an album cover. Title and text characteristics are excellent. |
