 There are several clay mines along the front range of Denver. This is an old oven used to bake the bricks made from the clay from at least one of these mines. It is located just outside the gates of Roxborough State Park.

The day-glo green of the grass is an amazing sight considering that it is brown here most of the year. Very arid climate here.

Convert from RAW, levels, saturation, layer and levels for oven, rotate, crop, gradient, USM, re-size & save for web.

absolutely amazing depth of blues and green; the cloud streak; the earthen red of the bricks; this is a great shot with super color values

What a vast difference between the warm and cool tones here. I am assuming that you used a polarizer on this one. Sometimes I have troubles with my polarizer on the 10-22 (and I have an ultra thin model). I have to be very careful with it (which is a drag).

nice colors and composition. I think one thing that really works in this picture is that the grass, the sky, and the structure are the only things in it, yet they give the impression of being much more complex.

nice rgb type shot, the colors are nice and separated, and you've saturated them nicely too. you've positioned the ground/sky on a 1/3 and the oven is at a good spot from a compositional standpoint. I think the white cliff behind the oven tends to attract attention and even though it complements the sky is not part of your main subject. perhaps some dodging and burning to highlight the lines on the grass pointing to the oven may help, otherwise it tends to be static (another idea may have been to use a slower shutter and get some motion blur in the clouds)

The composition and focus are spot on. I love how the clouds create a beautiful diagonal over the old brick structure. This is RGB at its best. If I were to critique anythying, maybe lighten up the blue tone a smidge. Otherwise - GREAT!!!
