Lol well - great title! That clears it up for me. :D

I'm no master on post processing so I cannot tell you anything really. It's great that you can see details and contrast in the GP's fur.

Awwwwww. .he is so cute! I love how you've cropped him so close. I think the high contrast works great, and I love the little flowers he is sitting in. I love guinnea pigs. We had one forever when my kids were little.

Wonderful processing to get the nice sharpness and textures, that really help to make this one "pop".....

I'm not seeing any harshness to this, but I always try to calibrate my monitor before looking at DPC (takes about ten seconds). Differences in how your images are seen is a part of publishing them on the Web. Here there are some possible composition critiques, but I think the processing is good, not much to play with there! Nicely done.

Holy Cow (or should I say Guinea Pig!) Jon - this is SUCH GREAT post processing.

See - 12 days on and you're a PRO!

You must be thrilled with the outcome of this - the contrast is yummy!

Over all processing looks good, it might be just my eyes but it seems that you may have over done the contrast just a slight bit, to me the fur on the head of your model is just a bit harsh. Cute model too!!! ;)

The details in the guinea pig are good - especially around the eyes -but as krnodil said, the location of the shot is very busy and distracts the viewer. the lighting is also a little off at the backend of the little fellow - maybe cropping it just a little tighter on the cute face would help as well.

I am a sucker for guinea pigs - you've got a cutie here. You've got a lot of good detail in the fur, but he does look a bit overexposed to me, overall. Would try him in a different location, too - all the grass blades are roughly the same height as he is and compete with him for "foreground" attention, and overall is very "busy" and distracting. Would love to see a nice DOF shot quite a bit closer in, maybe even eye level with him.

And my apologies to her if "he" is a she. :)
