Great shot. I've been photographing bald eagles all spring and summer and like you am amazed by raptors. I'm hoping to find some owls this winter! |

This is an outstanding shot. Exactly how close were you before he flew away???
I bet he was like that the heck is this thing coming towards me...
IMO I think you should have cropped tighter to really show him off. The background on the left and right side blend way too much and a tighter crop would have really made this shot perfect. |

Nice capture of owl in natural setting! He's a beauty! I think cloning the two bright areas just to the right and left of his head would help keep the focus on him, but nicely done. |

nice capture, it may have been a bit stronger if you'd darkened the background in the UR and cropped the branch on the L
