Greetings from the Critique Club
Oh, I liked this when I saw it in competition and I still like it now!
Seems to me I saw a "Validated" notice on this then, but can't figure out what could have prompted that, unless you were away during judging.
Anyhow: Beautiful composition, coloring and subject matter. Excellent capture of a difficult subject. YOur lens was just right for the occasion. Processing - well, yes, it does appear to be a bit over-processed. There's a slight halo around the girl's thigh and the horse's legs, usually a sign of oversharpening. That may be the only reason why you didn't make it to the "6" column with this excellent image.
Keep up the good work.

Horse, rider and bottom quarter of the photo are great. The background has something wavy/blurry going on that I'm not getting. |

why is one stirrup so much shorter than the other? |

Great timing on the capture, but there's something going on processing-wise (I think) in the tree behind the rider's head. Still nicely depicts a beautiful sport! |

would consider cropping just a tad more on the right side - otherwise an awesome shot! |

Very nice timing and capture of the motion - even the flying bits of sand. This seems slightly oversharpened or something (the trees in the background especially look strange) but other than that is a strong entry. And the rider looks so calm! |

I really like the action here. Not sure about the background, is that just the lens rendition of bokeh? Everything else is spot on. Nice detail. Above average rating. |

great capture, but you got some really weird bokeh artifact back there. I don't quite know what's up with that. 7 |

Good all round shot - clarity, DoF, shutter speed. Nice |

Nice...a lovely composition, but your processing has done some funny things to the bokeh (perhaps oversharpening) which has made a distracting mess in the background...it looks like a Neat Image thing. I like it overall, but maybe something to think about next time 7 |

Wow what a great picture, as it appeared on my screen all I could see was the riders face and it appeared so serene I thought it would just be of someone riding. Too then see that she is jumping (and that you have captured it so well) is a real treat. Only minus for me is the tree background on the left which is (imo) not pleasing to the eye and a bit distracting |
