wow! I really enjoy this image. I enjoy the line of the wood and the sky and I like that the dark clouds on the top right balace the wood out from the bottom left. I like the angle that the image is shot at.
my only real critique is I feel that the visual grounding point is a little weak. for me the ground is the top log of the three in the forground and I feel that it may be a little on the soft side when it comes to focus. I really enjoy the image overall though, a quick sharpen and it would bring it into the excelent catagory for me. |

| Sort of wide angle without being wide angle. Love the metallic sheen that pervades the image. |

| there's something cloudy about this, and I don't just mean the clouds. It lacks the sharply saturated look so prevalent in DPC landscapes... thank God. I like the way what's in the water battles with the reflections on the water. Landscapes tend to bore me but this is very pleasant to look at. I actually enjoy just sitting and looking at it. The title is apt, not because it's a sedate scene but because the act of looking is itself peaceful. |

| Oh yeah, magic... the horizon line almost blends in with the sky if not for the distant land breaking the illusion. Great reflections, great light. |
