 The photo was taken from the Melbourne CBD. The River is called "Yarra River".
The tall building is the tallest building in Melbourne which also has the observation point on the 55th floors.

Terrific. All right, I'm fooled. I can't tell what city this is. My gut says Chicago, but I don't recognize anything. Oh by the way, I LOVE how their is nobody in this mage. 9.

Great exposure. You were able to capture the beauty of the cityscape lights perfectly. Looks like the water is a bit frozen. Would make for a great postcard for the city. The curved bank of the waterfront makes your eyes look from the the right to the left and much interest in between.

Ahhhh..... the Melbourne skyline.... how I miss it..... the Yarra River, Flinders St Station.... and the Rialto in the background! Taken from the Princes Bridge, or very close to it, unless I'm mistaken!
Great shot, just a little too overexposed for mine.... the side of the clocktower on the station is a little blown out and the lights atop several of the buildings too. Overall though I think it's a good shot, love the reflections in the water too.

Hey that is a cool photo. I have one taken from the other end of Southbank, which is a lot more over exposed, but it is my best photo on this site to date. Melbourne has a really beautiful landscape for night shots like this one. Good work :)

Great color. Maybe a boat moving in the foreground would really make a statement. But could mess up the reflections.
