I'd hoped for wonderful surf this weekend, but all we had was 1 foot waves - so, here's my next favorite! This tiny sundew is a carnivorous plant that grows wild - this one is only about the size of a quarter in diameter! Water collects on it's little furry tentacles when exposed to the sun - hence it's name.

Hi greetings from the critique club, here goes my thoughts and ideas on your shot. First of all, I love the dew drops!! I think your subject is a little too central and would benefit from being shifted a little to the right, I also think if it was cropped a bit more tightly it would help to highlight the actual subject and cut out the frivilous leaves on ground. I also wonder if there would be a way to get the Sundew to be a little darker, or perhaps a bit might contrast may make it 'pop' out a little more. You obviously have a great eye to find such a beautiful and small subject to shoot, which is great!! Another suggestion may have been to bend that leaf that overlaps the flower out of the way as you took the shot, leaving your subject unobstructed. Keep up the good work noticing the details and interesting subjects around!!
Good work!

I think the composition is too centered, it's too clustered, and the colours are too flat. 3

'water' is a bit weak for the subject of this photo.

The focus just seems a touch off here. Colors are very nice as are the textures. I could tell it was a macro though without the hint...

if you were going for a macro shot i would have gotten even closer to the subject. also the leaf in the bottom center of the picture is in the way of your subject and is slightly distracting.
