there is a quite thin black border on the top as well, if you didn't notice :P

because of the perspective she looks tiny bit bigger than the man and i just wanted to enhance that effect by elevating the picture a bit with this border. looks like didn't work since noone noticed or commented on it :(

i really like this photo alot. its like you can make your own histories watching it. details like the completely different shoes they are wearing is kind of funny. bw work is good as always, but what is up with that black thick border at det bottom ? :P

I agree with mia - you have an awesome sense of composition. I would have gotten about half the man in my pic lol. I think the only thing I would like to see different (if even possible) is to not have the two people's outfits blend in with the background. It's probably more obvious in the color version. I love the lines and balance of the pic.

Funny, this illustrates just how I feel in situations like this. Nice thought provoking photo and beautifully processed.

Terrific composition with the juxtaposition of the two individuals. I think I might have preferred a bit more tone range in the image. Still this is a stunning street scene and a perfect example of simple equals better type of photography.

I like how you always manage to combine perfectly every element in your shot. You have great sense for composition. Excellent.

There you go again with such a cool urban street photo. I love it. There something about them standing so close -- but seeming like they are worlds apart that makes the photo so interesting!

You are awesome at street photography. I'd love an entire book of your work.

Another really nice shot from the subway. Strangely although the two main subjects are perfect in terms of rule of thirds, I find my eye being drawn to the background characters in the centre of the shot (framed between pillars)

Nice to see that it is not just on the UK underground that people in such close proximity as those in the foreground can so patently ignore the others presence
