..."And I'm asking you, sir, at the top of my lungs, what's that that THING you've made out of my Truffula tuft?"
One of Seuss' best stories. Written in 1971 as the environmental movement was growing, it tells the story of a man who ignores the Lorax's warnings and destroys a beautiful Tuffula forest, pollutes the lake, and drives out the beasties until there is nothing left, all in his greed to sell Thneeds.
I couldn't find a Lorax doll on short notice, so drove around with the book looking for a scene to illustrate his theme. This location along a narrow creek with a refinery overlooking the bright yellow flowers seemed to fit.
First shot with my new Sigma f/2.8 18-50mm lens, and my new Dynatran carbon fiber tripod.
