Heehhe, from the thumbnail it looks like a giant apple or tomato, so I read your title as '5 a day', rather than 'day 5'.
Very cute, cheerful image.

xion just posted this in the "Pick your fav image from the person above you" - very glad he did. This is wonderful! And I agree 100% with the B&W treatment of it. What a delightful picture. Here's hoping you still look at this one and smile! |

This is a really interesting photo! I love how the composition deviates from the tradition "rule of thirds" yet works seamlessly. The toning and horizon at a lot to this. Very well done! |

Yikes, you nailed the title! What I love about this shot: the angle, the title, the SMILE, the landscape ... |

Very cool gradient across the ball, and nice tones across the entire image. The girl almost looks like she is the stem on a piece of fruit. Very pleasing to look at. |

excellent photograph in so many ways .. the laughing face of your daughter half hidden by that huge hat, excellent & fun .... the ball looks almost superimposed ... the shapes of the ball, the hat, the background and sky all balance each other perfectly .. it works so well in black and white and your contrasts are excellent .. i love how the flash has picked out the grass and given more contrast there as well, creating that great texture .. the clouds add another beautiful element to your wonderful photograph .. this is definitely WOW ....:) |

The fill flash by exposing for the background is great indeed, but you want to watch for highly reflective surfaces like the ball. Of course, it's not something you always have a bank of strobes with umbrellas for, lol. You've done a wonderful job controlling it as is.
A cute and whimsical shot for sure. |

GREAT composition. Love the hat - so that all we can see is the mouth. Really nicely done. The stripes on the ball ties in with the horizontal ones on her shirt, yet it isn't too busy. |
