This one is much better. The frecles are visible giving character to her face. Also the eyes have more detail to them. It would still help a bit to whiten the whites of the eyes a bit. Be careful to not overdue it though. |

I run a few steps in basics such as levels and shadow/highlight, then ran Gorman's 16-bit B&W conversion (atncentral.com), then after flattening, make some layer adjustments such as levels / brightness / contrast, etc.
In this case, I also lightened the one side of her face a little, did some light detail work on the eyes, and applied a slight soft focus layer on it, masking out the eyes and mouth, final adjustments to the selective white adjustment. and applied some USM. |
