Taken in San Miguel de Allende in March. Converted with B&W adjustment layer, some contrast added with a bit of dodging and burning.

Wow! This is a great candid. The dark skin tones are perfect and the detail in the face is superb!

i like that this is a dark pic and yet you can see the details on his face. weathered face, interesting eyes. I would like to see the left side cropped off a little too, as I think has also been mentioned here. great candid!

I agree about the tighter side crop. As it is, it's a lovely portrait with great detail!

Wow! I can see right thru to the soul it seems! It's those eyes. They hold something so deep. Maybe it's a lifetime of some good times and some very hard times too. The character is unmistakable tho!

I find the sides distracting a tighter crop would be WONDERFUL on this excellent face!

He looks like he's telling you all his life's secrets. What an interesting image to capture. Nice conversion to b/w.

Great portrait, which works very well being centred as the slightly asymettric tilt of the head does not make it feel too 'blocky'

DoF just right

The DOF in the background, works well, against this fine portrait.....
