I'd have to disagree on every count here. I think the things howzitboy says may be true from a traditionalist point of view, but this is a very contemporary, stylish photo, and with that in mind, I think this photograph is stunning. I could see it in The Fader, or XLR8R or something.

I really like this shot ... Is that a "bo" as in martial art weapon?
I think a slightly tighter crop would make this image more dynamic ... and I think I would try to blur the sharp shadow going back from her left knee to see if I could soften it a tad. If you could squeeze a BIT more dynamic range out of this image, I think it might be better too.
All in all a very pleasing image with some potential to be even better with not much PP. |
