Well outstanding bokeh and another great capture...Is it just me or do that monkeys eyes look slightly skew whiff? Guess (and I appreciate getting a monkey to pose is never the easiest thing in the world) that would be my one minus point as it is a bit strange being able to see the white of the iris on the left side of the image and not on the right side |

Ahh, a fellow simian... Nice composition and I like the bokeh behind him/it. Can you post your shot details (lens, shutter, aperture, etc)? I always find those helpful.
Like the detail on his little chunk of log too. Nice work. |

i was beginning to think that you were going to neglect the zoo for the b&w challenge.
I'm glad you didn't.
brilliantly captured and isolated from everything else with a perfect depth of field. |

Once again you take it to the next level. You're an awesome photographer. This photo has great balance. The DOF is incredible, no distractions at all. Clarity is wonderful, nice framing. You do great conversions to B&W and you have a very good eye for caputuring moods. |

Oh, Sandy! Your photos of this little monkey are just outstanding. Look at the composition and those compelling eyes. You are really talented with b&w (and photography in general). Please give me tips to help me get to your level (if that is even possible!) |

Great capture of this little monkey. Love the tones and contrasts in this composition. He appears as if he is trying to hide behind that branch. Great capture of emotion in this shot. Sometimes I get the feeling that the monkey is shy but curious while other times I get the feeling of him being a little fearful. My only suggestion is that I think that the composition could be strengthened if you zoomed in closer or cropped closer for just a head shot. Bringing the viewer in closer brings us closer to the subject not to mention we would have those eyes staring right back at us in larger detail and thus it would capture our attention even more strongly. |

Ooo!! This little fellow is an old friend! I have your photo hanging on my wall in my office at work.
This is an excellent subject for black and white and the driftwood adds texture and makes it a fascinating photo. Great job Sandy! |

Nice - like the offset subject, the good bokeh, focus is sharp exactly where it ought to be. Good range in the deeper blacks, a lot of detail can be seen. |
