Gah! Wow - I love "up tree" shots, and this is a really close-to-the-bark perspective. Great idea! Maybe a little too much blurriness in the foreground, like others have said, a slight crop off the bottom might improve the visual impact.

Interesting point of view.

Really fun perspective, however I think this would have worked better with a much stronger contrast and maybe even a vinaigrette.

nice job of using perspective to convey the height of the tree. I agree with what someone said about cropping the bottom. That would probably change the pic somewhat!

Magical angle of this, has given it it's fsntasy appeal, and could be a page of a childrens fairytale/story.....

Nice picture, love the texture of the tree. Cropping out the bottom a little would help it imo, perhaps trim the top right too (as mentioned by others).

Ya I think that would be a good idea to crop the bottom off and make it a square picture like my old tlr.

This could be an Ent from Lord of the Rings. :o)

I think you could chop off the bottom third and still have the same depth of focus without the blurriness at the bottom which distracts from the totally cool perspective and the awesome light source (the sun, I'm assuming) on the top right.

You have certainly captured the massive size of the tree and the beauty of nature here.

I really love this type of photo showing the massive size of beautiful trees. How dramatic!

Nice perspective in this, very similar idea to this image also in the 30-day B&W challege.

I love the perspective on this but wish the DOF was broader.
