During the bombs, I like to give the low scorers some love.
I've seen this before and it made me laugh. It still does. That goose up front is just so in your face, it's perfect that he's OOF. |

Greetings from the Critique Club -
A creative idea for sure, but obviously not what the DPC community was looking for. I am pretty sure you know what the issues here are. The big goose head is painfully out of focus and the general setup is a bit out there. But it does look like you had fun with it. You actually did a pretty good job with the merging of the geese into the clouds. Pretty clean PS work.
That said, even though the FS was expert ruleset that doesn't mean that you had to use the expert ruleset on your entry. I think most of the higher scoring images with a couple of exceptions were advanced legal.
Looking through your portfolio I can see you do nice work. Dont let this one get you down. I loko forward to seeing your future entries.

Too bad the front goose isn't in focus. |

It's interesting, but I can't really understand what you're trying to portray. Are these migrating geese that have stopped on a cloud top to refuel? What is the purpose of the large out of focus, in your face, goose?:) |

This is a really cool idea, but I think it would be much nicer if the front goose was in focus. Good try though! |

What a brilliant idea! - all the ducks are great but the advantage of this technique is that the foreground most bird could be in focus and my eyes sorta of want it to. Otherwise great all around. 7 |

A good bit of fun. The foreground goose is maybe a little too out of focus though. |

this is close to being really good if only the foreground goose was in focus |
