I love the way you have turned something so mundane into a work of art. Shots like this are much more interesting than posed portraits. |

Ummm.... not that jacket with that dress, dear... but if you do choose to go that route, the army boots are your best bet for footwear. :-) |

It's kind of a fun photo to look at that a great deal of story telling about it. Good conversion to B&W. |

I enjoy the top half of the image, the strong contrasts and sharp focus is really nice. However, when I look at the lower part even though there is a bit of contrast it just is really flat compared with the top half. It is a great pose and a fun idea.... |

I think you chose a fantastic crop and perspective here. What a wonderful capture of the mundane. What I'd remove - the pet carrier and the electrical cord - but then again they add to the overall chaotic feeling. Very well done indeed! |

The battle that is never won because there is always ALWAYS laundry to be done. Yes, I can relate to the photo for there are days when we have little or no choice on what to wear because we have let the laundry pile up. I like the candid feel to this - it is like we took a peak in on just an average everyday slice of life of a regular person. Tones are good. My only two critiques are that I think there could have been a little more lighting to bring her face out of the shadow - that way we get a clearer and more prominent look at her expression of looking over the laundry better. Second just a suggestion to improve the compositional elements a tad more - a larger pile of laundry would really give us the feel of what doing laundry is like - A task that is tedious, boring and something we like or hope to have someone else do such that we sometimes let it get piled high before we have to dig in and just do it. |

ha! how funny is this! yeah i hear ya, been there, still done that. Cute idea for a B/W. I guess like someone else said, I would rather not see the crop cutting off the head (eww that sounds bad!) Clever indoor shot! |

Nice choice of objects to really get across the black and white idea. Love the basket and grate in the background. You really went to town with your choices here. Very well presented. |

Cute shot! Looks a bit out of focus, though. Any reason you chose to crop the head off? Might be better if it were all in the frame. |

You got to get somebody to do your laundry for you :) I like the slight falling over feel of the image, and the movement in the earrings.

Well your 'photographers comment' made be laugh out loud
Interesting cross between a posed shot and a slice of life. Maybe a little too cluttered (even given the subject matter) in terms of composition (The plug with the label on in the right of the shot draws my eyes more than it should do) and the whites on the wall seem a little bit harsh
Still a nice enough start to the next 30 days though |

YAY so glad you decided to join us. I certainly can relate with 4 people in this house, and me being the chief laundress.
I love it in sepia. Gives it an old "washerwoman" feel. ;~p |

I REALLY like this slice of life photograph (have no reference point personally for the washing never getting done - I mean it's not like I'm sitting here at my computer doing this while my laundry compacts!)
On a technical point I'd have like to see the top of the head and perhaps a little more on the knee side of the photograph. |

and i can totally believe its based on a true story seeing all those choices .. altho i dont know how you'd wear those towels .. the mind boggles !!!!! ..
great shot .. love the way you're leaning towards those clothes .. it looks like they're all the discards and wot you've actually got on is your final choice .. personally i dont think the patterns quite match tho .. like its a real no-no stripes and dots!!!! .. i reckon those dark black shoes would go a treat with your outfit tho .. it'd be quite a statement ...
like the b&w for this shot, and i like the way you're face is sort'v like a silhouette against that white background ... :)
