Thanks everyone! Dewdodesign, the sky was as is - not added. I did dodge and burn a little to boost the contrast in the clouds, but it is all natural...just some low hanging clouds that day.
I thought it was funny that another photo in this challenge was titled with a country song..I think it was this challenge anyway....
By the way, this is a self portrait and you should have seen me running to try and get on the tractor before the timer finished!

| Wonderful scene! A little more oomph by crushing the blacks a little & boosting saturation would have added visual impact to great storytelling - but that's minor criticism and just my humble opinion. << 8 >> |

| nice rural portrait. the sky is lovely, the crop is great, only critique would be the farmers face, its a little dark and orange... overall a unique and well executed image. 7 |

Great shot. I wonderful tonal range. The colors are great in this shot. I can't find anything to nit pick on this shot. Good job. -10

haha i like the comical side to this image and the great contrast between the sky and the green of the corn shoots really makes this stand out.
However, the fact the sky fades out to white makes it look rather unnatural and makes me wonder if this sky has been added on and blended in photoshop? So for that alone I can't score this as highly as I may have done had it looked more natural.
Great composition and IMO the positioning of the tractor is spot on. The straw in the mouth shows you have thought about attention to detail and is a nice touch. |
