When I told a friend about this project they didn't get it and were afraid others might not know what a pylon was so here is the definition...

Pylons, also called road cones, safety cones, traffic cones, or Witches' Hats, are cone-shaped markers, generally made out of orange or yellow plastic or rubber, that are placed on roads or footpaths to temporarily redirect traffic in a safe manner.

So as I explained to my friend "Pi-lons" is 3.14159265 pylons. *grin* I fear any joke you have to explain isn't a very good joke. *shrug*

I understand the "Pi"lons reference... but I think you could have spent a little more time on this picture. The board is a distraction making it seem as if there are 2 pictures instead of one... and the brick was not necessary to the shot. Maybe if you had taken the picture from a different perspective it would have been better. I think maybe if the picture had been taken from a left side view of the same area, and from a ground-level view, that the overall picture might have grabbed me a bit more.

Otherwise, the picture was well taken...clarity, focus, DOF. Seeing as this is digital... next time try taking a dozen or so shots from different angles and pick out the most interesting. This one doesn't quite meet that pinnacle. Sorry! (4)

They say Pi can be found in nature. There is neither nature nor Pi that I can see here. :)

I'm not sure I get it. Is it because there's 3.14 of them in the shot?

It made me laugh, but still stretching the theme and poor composition

I don't think this fits the challenge, and if it does it seems cluttered and lacks a focal point

Creative take on the challenge. A bit of a distracting scene, and the immediate foreground is out of focus (which distracts me).

Uninteresting, and poorly put together. You get a 3 only because I think that might be a Starcraft reference.

hrm - i call them bollards... Pylons are those massive things which carry electricity cables, no?

Ug - play on words - the orange stands out well, though
