Challenge: Triptych II (Advanced Editing V*)
Camera: Canon EOS-30D
Lens: Sigma 18-125mm f/3.5-5.6 DC for Canon
Location: columbus
Date: Apr 28, 2007
Date Uploaded: Apr 28, 2007

I've had this idea for a triptych since editing my Headwear entry last fall. It didn't work as well as I was hoping - too much going on to be clean enough for a DPC friendly pic I'm afraid. Hopefully the fun factor will carry me into "6 land" but who knows.

Three shots in RAW - RAW conversions on each. Made the three into one in Elements. Crop, levels, selective color, hue/sat, brightness/contrast, soft light, burn/dodge, minor cloning, USM, neat image, blur, and border.

Hey hey, awesome work girly. I loved this set up when you did it the first time. I think having the sequence tell a story this way has lifted it to another level. The tones are outstanding. Not busy at all for my tastes. Hope you've printed this...

Very charming. It has the appeal of those strips of photos you get at the mall.

I'd say it did OK. It must be the Toole family charm. :-) Oh, and I still hope you don't actually go anywhere in those shoes...

A clever and funny sequence, and well-shot. I don't know if you intended it or not, but placing the bench in the middle of the street gives it, for me, a "taken out of time" feel of a recollected memory, which is just perfect for the subject. 10

okay, I can't stands no more! I gotta say it. after about a dozen challenges with this set up... I just gotta ask... a bench in the middle of the street?? You're just too weird for me, dude.

Cute, but I have the feeling the title is a reference to something on TV. Since I don't watch TV (at least not in the US), I can't help but think the concept is a bit off...

Perfect storytelling; background never changes so I can't help but focus on what does, and B&W prevents color distractions. Great use of this format :-)

my rate to your first submition with the same subjects (//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=427009) was 10 and I confirm my rate for this image. congrats for the history in the triptych the only problem is that the image is too small.
