The ideas I had earlier in the week were not possible. Either places werent open or landscapes were nto available. I had this idea last minute and only Friday to shoot it. And in that day I ended up with only one hour as it started to rain and we had to leave the zoo early. Overall I lucked out that all three of these guys were visible. The tiger was pretty far away - hence the tight crop, but the other two were posing well.
The bear is a Sun Bear. Some sort of Asian bear. They are pretty small and awfully goofy looking. Their eyes seem to go in different directions, they walk odd and just give these really strange looks. The grizzly bears were facing the wrong direction.
Alot of editing - all RAW converted, various seletcive color adjustments, high pass sharpens, NI, minor cloning on the lion to remove some dirt spots, minor cloning on the tiger to hide some chain link, alot of dodging and burning, gaussian blur layer, crop, attaching the three together and then moreof everything again, resize, usm, and more of everythign again. |

Haha I didn't have my screen fully open so I had to scroll down to see this this so it went..."Lion , nice... tiger, oooo I study on big cats, I like...Bear??" Then I realised the bear and I were wearing the same confused expression and I had to laugh. The title is perfect! |
