Hello...I believe your image is awesome. If you would forgive my ignorance and please tell me what the message says (translate)? The image speaks to me in that it depicts diligence in a particular study. I am in the process of opening my own Law Office and would love to use the picture as my webpage header...only with your permission of course.

Please let me know.

Luscious spotlight like effect with soothing sepia tones. Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

Well ok, a bit disappointed as I really hoped to hit top 10... But that's still cool to see how much good votes I got and so nice comments during voting.

In order to answer :

-I was very surprised to see people disturbed by the upside down book... Actually it's just because I wanted the cube picture to be on the shot, and it was on the left page. And the only solution to make a left page appear on a right side is........ ? :-)

-To all those who are talking about feelings and atmosphere, thanks twice ! That was the main goal of this shot.

-About cropping a bit more on right side, I tried... And still prefer this version. I don't really like too squared compositions.

-To every commenter, thanks a lot ! I really enjoyed reading this all and seeing that great photographers could like my beginner work :-)

Nice feel to this photo with the soft lighting and sepia tones. I'm confused about the upside down textbook though.

I like the colour cast. Good use of exposure to get a vignette. Why is the book upside down?

nice oldtiming way to complete the objective of the shoot i think that this effect rrally captures the idea

This is a really good idea. And I really like the lighting you've achieved with the candle, really nice. I think though that compositionally, if a little of the darkness at right were cropped out, it could make for a stronger, more dynamic image. I think your border here actually works quite well, I think it works with the lighting to 'contain' the scene, and draw the viewer into the moment.
