Captures the challenge idea. However too much free space. Perhaps a different angle would have been better?

Simply elegant >>> Simply beautiful. :-) Not the simpliest jewel, at least the price would be difficult, but the way you performance this photo gives it the most simple appearance. Great job!

The crown is somewhat lost in the white. A different colored background may have helped. Royal Blue or Red?

Technical: Most all images submitted fit the challenge. This one does well. Exposure composition focus lighting all good, though I'd like to see the background a little more evenly lit. I think the bright white would make it a bit stronger and more contrasty.

Personal:Yep, very nice.

Overall interest : 1/3
Technical : 3/3 (I like the simple effective composition and high key,sharpness, perhaps some shadows are disturbing)
Challenge fit : 1/2 (A simple object indeed, but i've no feeling of the "simplicity" concept)
Wow factor : 1/2 (Don't know exactly why?)
