Major adjustment of contrast and intensity. Wish I could have spot edited and gotten rid of the two small splatters.

My friend Josh helped me come up with this when we were painting a backdrop for the upcoming Christmas show. *shrugs* I have no idea how this is going to do. My second try at a set-up shot. We'll see...

Yes, I forgot to sharpen it somehow, it was a last minute submit and I'd been fixing the contrast so much that I thought I did it, but I hadn't. *kicks self repeatedly* Doesn't represent anything, it's as the title says, 'just paint.' I have trouble getting true blacks, thus the need for Black and White, the original was, beleive it or not, brown and grainy. That was the only way I could bring out the black background. As for the color, well, it occured to me, but I didn't take the time to pull some out, but it would have been lost in the B&W processing anyway.

Thanks for the comments, not that I did too well, but I felt like I had to explain some things, if just for my own silly satisfaction.

Although a nice composition and positive/negative balance, I am not sure what it represents.

Seemed alittle over exposed some details lost. Also appeared strange to me that "Paint" is a good topic, but why issit B and white where colours can be exploited? Jus my Opinion. Cheers

Good idea, it needs some color though. maybe red paint instead of white. the white paint looks too hot and contrasty.

Good composition. A bit too much contrast for my own taste, it almost seems like it was overexposed. But that is a great idea.

I like this a lot! Perhaps if the brusk stroke was longer and less short and if it were a little sharper it might improve upon the picture.

Colored paint would have been cool! The brush is not in focus, which is probably caused by low lighting and an auto-focus camera, if I could take a guess as to why. Possibly no tripod used either. Excellent black background though!
