too limited focus, shoulda known. Only 3 of the bubble are in focus...hmmmm, maybe I need my eyes checked...0.0

No not UGH at all for me, I like the OOF'ness of it I think it gives it a sort of dreamy otherworldly look, I think it's a fantastic abstract. Cool shot!

I think this is a well conceived shot Blue Moon. The thumbnail looks marvelous. As mentioned, focus is the issue here. However, I am the type of person who overlooks one small aspect for the overall photo. And I think this is a good photo. The idea is good, the composition is good, the patterns/lines are good. Personally I would have given you a 7 in the challenge. I personally can overlook the focus issue.
