Thanks for your comments. I find it sad that I can't submit a cat and get higher marks. People just don't like pet photos here I heard, no matter how good or interesting they may be. So, I guess I know better for next time, though my cats are my life!
As for noise in the photo, that's just his fur. He has VERY odd fur, multi-colored strands. There is some light reflection in his fur though. Thank you all for taking a look at my photo. I do appreciate it! :) |

I like the colors and composition. It might have been a good one to run through neat image on low settings to remove what looks like chroma noise in the light fur. |

Cats are great. You always basically know what they are thinking. This one appears to be saying, Do that again and you will regret it! :) |

Technical: Most all images submitted fit the challenge, but this one not as strongly as the others for me. Exposure composition focus lighting okay, but the reflections in the cat's eyes is distracting and the crop is too tight for my taste, particularly with the look on the cat's face.
Personal: This looks like a stressed cat, this doesn't say simplicity to me. It doesn't look like much more than a snapshot. It appears to be properly exposed, but by the same token it looks too bright to me. Definitely worth the time to keep practicing!
These are the exact same comments I left for the other cat face shot, because they are so similar, even down to the color of the cat.
My vote: 3

Good, crisp, clear shot. A bit too bright, but a nice picture.(I don't downgrade or upgrade for cats). |

A close-up that might be too close. There seems to be no dimension to the photo - was a flash used? There are almost no shadows to show us this is a real, living and breathing creature! Cool eyes though. |
