Hello from the critique club

I am a sucker for the non fuzzy creatures on this planet, though I must confess I remember stomping on snails after it rained when I was a child.

First impression - it doesn't seem to meet the challenge. The main focal point, which to me is the head, is center. The antennae, because of the depth of field, seem more as accessories as opposed to the main point of the picture

The lighting is great, the warm light on the grass and backlighting is of great use in this picture. I think a touch of curves to lighten up the neck of the snail to enhance the textures would also help the picture a touch.

In general, this is a great picture, and you have some very nice stuff in your portfolio. Keep in mind that DPC voters tend to be literal in their interpretations of challenges.
