 Use of 3 images: portrait and two textural shots: of a Lquid Amber leaf and Oak leaf litter. Created mask layers and progressive use of background eraser tool. Contrast increase, Neat Image, sharpen three times.

My father - age 71. Portraits don't tend to do well in Free Study, but I had this idea for ages and really wanted to try it. Seemed that there was no other place for it than in Free Study.

I like the editing but I'm afraid many of the purists will see it as too much digital manipulation. I'm anxious to hear the story about this guy. He has a wonderful face. I particularly like his hands. That bit of "hot" on his left hand (to our right) might need a smidge of work, but otherwise, I like it.
