I reckon you predicted that outcome... but worthwhile just to get the comment "I thought it was a macro shot of a fly"...

I too like this image very much and am amazed it finished so low.

This image is so subtleâ€Â¦fantastic job. This is my guess that you did a full shoot of this object and probably different objects but this was one of those happy mistakes that came out of it all. I love itâ€Â¦

A big problem I have when voting, is decifering whether or not someone made a deliberate artistic choice or a bad image. Knowing that this is yours, I'm looking deeper and seeing the beauty revealed in this simple object.

Sadly, I gave it a 4.

On a bright note. A few of my lowest scoring images have sold for good money. It's funny how that works...

C'est la vie...c'est la guerre

this was one of the most creative entries in this challenge, can't believe finished this low! poetic work, as usual.

I also find this to be an incredibly gorgeous abstract image.

Going in my favorites as well.

Extremely beautiful, gorgeous b/w tonal range and lovely composition. I'm *shocked* at how low this placed. Obviously not everyone's cup of tea, but it's a beautiful abstract and I can see it hanging in a gallery.

i like the abstract minimalism here... the blur and the b&w really works. there's also something i really like about the composition.

Cool shot...the bokeh and blur are just awesome. The longer I look at this the more I like it.

The lines and patterns are very nice, but I think at least a little of the image should be in sharp focus.

your composition really, really works for me. now you'll tell me you just spun the colander and closed your eyes ;) perhaps a good photographer just always ends up showing through.

I'd like more focus but it's a good idea.

mysterious, threatening. your monosyllabic sigh of a title just adds to the sense of danger. 9

Whilst I am fairly sure that the lack of focus is an intended artistic decision, it doesn't work for me. There are some interesting textures and metallic finishes to play with here, but I don't feel they have been utilised fully.

Nice abstraction. Love the texture, the tones and the form. Well done

That tool looks quite complex, is this the thing you make falafel with?

Hmmmm... neat abstract. It almost looks like a fly's eye. I'm sure the soft focus is intentional, but something about it doesnt work for me. There's nothing to focus on, either because of the focus or nothing lit to stand out.

Interesting textures and tones. It pleasing to the eye though its hard to draw yourself to something in this photo. More focus somewhere?
