 Set up the strainer on a piece of black foamcore. Stuck a flashlight inside. A little bit of random light coming from the back left. Created the light beams by blowing smoke through the light during the exposure. Methinks this is way too abstract to score very well, but what the hell, I like it!

Greetings from the Critique club. I like what you have done in a creative manner with this entry. I like the off center composition, although being that your going for the disco ball look, I might have liked to see the strainer not sitting on the board, rather up off it a bit to get the full "disco ball" effect, and the shot not quite so tight to give it a larger perspective of it. Overall very nicely done and I think it scored pretty well, voting on this one I would have given it a 6.

Great idea, and nice exposure. Might have been improved by putting another utensil or something else in the "spotlights" on the lower left. 6.

This is what I've wanted to see this whole challenge! All of the other utensils dont seem to have night lives....not this one! While the knives and forks sleep quietly in the drawer after their moment of fame in the photo shoot, this strainer goes out and boogies. I know a cute cheese grater I can hook it up with if it's interested.
