Great idea, but the composition could be improved. Either go for perfect symmetry or get them properly off-center, but certainly crop out that distracting sliver of black on the far right.

I like this - the red overtone (subject and background) are great. Lighting is nice too.

This is wonderful! Colours are amazing - few and effective, and lighting is spot on. I love the textile being so soft. Cropping is not even on the two sides, but it works well for me, because the textile is forming an also-not-simmetric upside-down "V" on the top of the photo.Maybe the Christmas ornaments are a bit decorative for my taste of simplicity, but as it's a simple pattern, it may be okay. :-)

Love the picture... but does it meet the challenge? Unfortunately for me it is not plain or unadorned enough... but still a 5 :)
